The Wooden O Drama Course

Government Levy: €200
Kinsale College has established a reputation for providing an exciting and innovative Theatre Training, attracting students nationally and internationally.
Taught by professional theatre artists, the Wooden O Theatre course allows students to develop creative expression within a group environment that is supportive and inspiring. Kinsale College has a unique, purpose-built amphitheatre providing students with a perfect space for rehearsal and public performance. Students also perform in venues outside the college and take productions on tour. Links are maintained with the professional theatre, both through the permanent staff and by master classes, offered by visiting theatre professionals.
Theatre classes are practical and, throughout the year, students have many performance opportunities, culminating in a large-scale public performance each May.
Core to the teaching practise in Kinsale is belief in an ensemble approach to creating and delivering theatre.
The course offers students a training in devising their own performance material enabling actors to create their own work and maintain visibility in the theatre industry after they graduate.
